Can they just board their ships and arrest them hand cuff them and put a stop to the whaling. They are causing grievous bodily harm, pain and death to our whales... and disturbing the peace of many children and citizens of Australia who care.

Is it possible to just arrest them because we don't want them in our waters?

  1. No, all they can do is watch and observe and document . I agree its a dreadful thing the Japanese are doing. They know it too. This whalemeat is sold in school dinners for Japan did you know that? The whole thing is a total disgrace for the Japanese people. Still, they probably dont know anything about it all, just as they are kept in the dark about the atrocities their predesessors committed in world war 2.Only thing we can do is not buy anything stamped "Made in Japan"

  2. The arrest is possible within Australian waters only, but not in international waters.

  3. Unless the Japanese whalers violate Australian laws, in Australian waters, they cannot be arrested. Without respect for these laws, countries could go around arresting whomever disturbed them, based on however they felt.

International pressure IS working. Go visit the Greenpeace Australia site to learn more about what you can do.
