  1. they could try, although unsuccessfully. the wild card is their best option, which they will accomplish. it is very much in their hands, and their to lose. but they need to watch out for the phils, mets, and marlins (whoever isn't leading the NL East). we will know for sure at the beginning of september in regards to what they are chasing, the wild card or division crown. if they are less than 4 games out, go for the division, if not, WC. as of now, i am positive the cubbies will hold their lead, thanks to zambrano, harden, marmol, lee, and ramirez

  2. They won't get the Wild Card or the division win.

  3. not at all, wild card is probably their best bet....

  4. Well yeah they can...you know how fast they caught up and equally fast they dropped back 5 games  so anything is possible...do I think they will catch up? well not really, With Alfonso Soriano the Cubs have won 11 of 15 and currently have won 9 of 11...and they swept the Brewers so as of right now the Cubs are a better team...And I dont think the Cubs would lose 6 or 7 out of 10 with their great pitching and bullpen AND their depth in the batting lineup and I just dont think they would allow the Brewers to gain 3 4 or 5 games on them anymore but again, anything is possible so you never know

  5. I think, finally, the Cubs have all the pieces to the puzzle: strong pitching, great defense, and powerful offense. No, I don't think the Brewers will catch them unless injuries take place.

  6. Yes and they probably will. It amazes me that after 100 years there are so many people who are convinced the season is over and they are merely playing it out and the Cubs have already won the thing. The Brewers and Cardinals both are still in it and less likely to fold. I don't see the Cubs in the post season at all.

  7. Anything can happen if they get on a winning streak and the Cubs on a losing streak, but I say the best bet is for the wild card.

  8. Sure they can, theres still 7 weeks left, anything can happen.

  9. It's posssible but have to wait & see

  10. Yes they can! Anyone who says they can't are fooling themselves! Anything can happen in Baseball. Look at the Rockies last year.

    Go Brewers!!

  11. No, they should be aiming for wild card.

  12. Yes They Can If Not They'll still get in as the Wild Card Team, So The Division is more a lock for the Cubs and less of an Opportunity for the Brewers or Cardinals.

  13. No way

  14. They can, but they most likely won't.

    Wild card.

  15. there is a chance.  26 of the last 47 games the cubs have to play are against the five best NL teams that are not named the cubs: the mets, phillies, marlins brewers and cardinals.  however with wainwright coming back for the cardinals its looks like the cardinals could be the ones to catch them if any but their line up isnt very deep unlike the cubs and brewers.  So I think the cubs will come out on top and the brewers the wild card but not until the last series of the season in which the two teams play each other for a set of 3

  16. No but they got the wild card

  17. definitely not

  18. If they win more games and the Cubs lose....................

They pretty much have the Wild Card right now, so it's looking good for them.  Maybe the Cardinals can beat them up this weekend.....
