Yes, the Brewers seem to be the clear favorites, but can the over-achieving Cardinals fight for the last two months and get the wild card entrance to the playoffs??

  1. yeah they have a good chance at it.

i dont think there going to make it because there pitching is terrible but they still kinda have a chance

  2. of course. they're only 3 games behind the brewers and they still have plenty of time. they can make a run at it if the bullpen improves. thats the biggest concern

  3. as a reds' fan, i always watch the cardinals, keep up with them.  more than anyone else, the cardinals are the division's overall most consistent team.

that said, i really don't like their chances this year.  the starting rotation is off with injuries and inconsistency.  the bullpen has both good and bad, but isn't great.

still, if i were starting a team myself, and could pick any manager from any era, i'd take tony larussa.  he probably isn't better than the best in history, but one thing is true.  more than anyone ever did, tony larussa manages to get the most from his clubs, year in and year out.  somehow he gets results from the even the least likely of players, keeps a solid team effort going, and in the end, does more with less so often that he just comes off as a genius.

and i don't even like the guy that much...

  4. I am a braves fan myself but i do like the cardinals and they have a great young lineup so i think they will have a good chance to win the wild card but if they cant over take Milwaukee they still have next year and next year i think they can win the the nl central
