  1. Nope, Massive hangover and may struggle to make the eight

  2. Yeah i think they can win back to back, whether they do it or not could be another thing.  But I haven't seen them play this year so that's just from last season. On last years form alone they are capable of going back 2 back

  3. I think they will win the 2008 Premiership.  They have such a great team.  I think it will be Geelong v. Collingwood in the 2008 Grand Final.

  4. Yeah of course they CAN any team can...its a matter of who WILL =]

I hope West Coast can, but Im thinking maybe  the Roos =]

  5. reckon the Cats will go back to back

  6. Of course they can but they have ruined the chance for one of the greatse football dynasties in history if they had of won the 2005 semi final against sydney and not blown 2006 altogether, mind you they are still a chance to string three premierships together since their might night be any retierments at then end if the year and the only likley one is milburn

  7. i think they can, but i think the Sanits are going to have a great season

  8. Mate you know my team ... but I worry!  We had a great year last year, not least with lack of serious injuries to key players.  There are still some psychological scars there but I'm sure they've healed over a bit.

Can they?  Of course they can.

Are they shoe-ins - h**l no!  Injury is the biggest threat, followed by suspension, followed by some disintegration like Johnson going on a bender to celebrate what sobriety brought him.  Then a distant fourth is Collingwood, then Crows, .... 25th is Carlton (just after the possibility of missing the bus to the Grand Final)

  9. maybe not

  10. Yes, the cats can win back to back flags. I dont agree with the comment that Sydney is a chance, I believe Sydney are to old and play a brand of football that will not be successful with the new run run game. I think competitors this year will be St Kilda after going to see them they look really fit and have one of the best lists on paper, and we all know if they have no injuries they will be a force.  Collingwood with its very young list and the way Malthouse coaches them will be a big chance also, and I do not like Collingwood but they are a chance. But I believe that Gellong will win again, too many superstars in one side for them not to win the flag. They could definately be a Brisbane 2001 era with the side they have, and If I was a Geelong supporter I would be very excited as I would hope to win atleast 3 flags in 5 years with that line up.

  11. well according to the ch 7 commentators the crows are prem favourites?

i cant see anybody coming close to the geelong

  12. Hello Kev, I'm Tom from the United States, I'm picking the cats again this year but don't count out the crow's,magpies,or the eagles, those are my pics going down to the final 4.      Sorry Kangaroo fan's, I just don't see it happening

  13. well big kev, they can. not many teams can match them in the midfield. their defence is rock solid. i think my swans can be a threat with barry hall back to his best, tadhg kennely's run off halfback and adam goodes's sheer brilliance. also collingwood have a pretty talented team. as much as i hate to say that, it's true. if the pies young players step up, they can be a real force in 2008.

  14. No. There are quite a few up and coming clubs and Geelong has got issues deep within itself at the moment which could possibly see them fracture in the season, and this is more than just the Ablett issues.

I would like to say yeas to you Cat fans and maybe I will be proven wrong but I think enjoy last year and more than likely look forward to a 2009 flag.

  15. I certainly think Geelong can go back to back and I would be thrilled if they do BUT even more thrilled if Collingwood stopped them from doing so!!

Cutemum2 - geez dont write them off based on 1 silly game played in Dubai with almost half the players sick with gastro!!  Have faith sista!

  16. Hmm doubt it but im not saying its impossible, I dont think the Cats would have the same drive to win a flag as they did last year and theyve dropped or lost a few players like Nathan Ablett and their premiership ruckman, sorry cant rmbr his name at this very moment, If they get their act together I'd say the Eagles again, Pridus looks like the next Judd, The crows could do it maybe even Carlton if having Judd there with them gives them a huge enough boost in morale to have a good year and have a shot at the flag for the first time in ages.

  17. Actually, yes they can. The desire to win combined with a team approaching its peak - they haven't got there yet! - is downright unbeatable.

To complete the 4 - Saints - the big comers of this year - Maggies and Adelaide. My Bombers maybe 6th - they have some building to do.

Bottom team? who else? first pick Freddies as always, Carlton.

Enough wooden spoons to win every bake off from here to Boston.

  18. Well my prediction was Collingwood before last nights match,BUT that has changed.

Looks good for the Cats, but I still hope the Maggies can improve.

I know I'm not saying my beloved Kangas, cause I know I'd be in denial.

  19. I think Geelong as a good chance to do it again, if not i would hope to see a St Kilda or even Essendon up there with a chance but none of us will know until that final Saturday in September. GO THE CATS

  20. well the cats done very well last season and it did take a long time fo them to make a come back,! but no they wont do it again im a bomber so i will have to go with my gang ,go the mighty bombers!ESSODON FOREVER

  21. carn the tiges!

  22. yep, they can, better q is who can stop them, they have basically the same side, its up to them, as we all know footy at that level is all played above the shoulders, they are all talented boys out there, its who adjust to pressure and perceived pressure.

  23. No.  Go Roos!

  24. I cant see a side beating them...

  25. I don't think so, The answer is the doggies. Always the doggies.

  26. Yes they can, although my fantasy is Melbourne to win, but very doubtful we'll even finish anywhere near the top eight.
