Can the Council do this?

I am 20 years old. Me and my Fiance are on the housing list for a house, we have been on for 4 years now as we knew we would wait a while. My mum is also on the waiting list for a new house, she has a chance for getting a new build house.

The problem is the Council have advised that i am not allowed to be on both applications. If i come off my Fiances list we will back a square one and if i come off my mums list I have no where to live as i wont be allowed to live with her and there is no room at my Fiances it would be a bit of a squeeze!

Can someone please give me a little advice if any.

Thanks

  1. The drug addicts/alcoholic's and mental health patients and immigrants and single mums will all get housed b4 you do.

rent privately(do you really want to live in above community?

  2. Why not look for your own place away fro mthe Council?

The ratepayer ddoes not owe a 20 year old accommondation

  3. You do not sound like you are mature enough to get married. You should have a place of your own. Why do you need this? Take charge of your life and get a job and your own home. Yes, they can do that.

  4. Sorry, but it only seems fair that you can't be listed twice on a housing list.

  5. Councils are run  like any other corrupt, self interest, political entities. Don't anticipate any justice or fairness from them !

  6. Why can't you live with your Mum!! the council cannot dictate who lives with her.
