  1. start by changing your attitude

  2. Things can always be better.  Are you asking the questions about what is going on, or are you passively accepting ideas channeled to you by seven or eight media conglomerates? Are you seeking out answers, discussions, debates, putting in what you know, and seeking what others already know? Are you voicing the truth, where ever you see it to be lacking?

Since we're on Yahoo Answers, I'd say yes, you are making a pretty good start.

These  are the ideas that are at the core of a free and democratic society. The belief that doing what you can towards making the world a better place, with your ideas, your thoughts your words and your actions, will combine with the efforts of others to move us further towards where we need to be is critical.

Keep asking questions, and making those who are unaware more aware,(slowly) just as some people have done for you.

Let your voice be heard, and ask others for theirs.

Look for other sources of information than the "boob" tube, with shows that are called "programming".

Right now it is going to be slow,  but day by day, little by little, it gets faster and faster, until it hits critical mass.

  3. I don't things are that bad . . . We certainly have some issues but nothing that's overwhelming . . . On a scale of one through ten . . . I'd put the country on a six or seven.

  4. yes we can change, but people are afraid of real change, the kind where we support individuals and move away from the 2 party corrupt system. we have the right to demand better representation, but we must take personal responsibilty and not expect handouts and the government to be our parents.

  5. just pray we don't get another idiot president like Bush was, or we're doomed
