Can the DENON 4306 video upscale to 1080P? Cause some people say that it only video upscales to 1080i?

  1. The Denon AVR4306 does not "Scale" at all. Scaling or Upscaling is the process of increasing the lines of resolution. The AVR4306 does "Upconvert" or convert one type of video connection to a better type. For example it can take in Composite Video, S-Video or Component Video and output the signal from it's HDMI output. Any such upconversion handled by the AVR4306 retains the original resolution so it cannot even upscale to 1080i. The step up model AVR4806Ci does scale to 1080P (maximum of 480P from DVDs unless connected with HDMI)
