Question:

Can the Dem convention get any "faker" ?

** Hilary espousing her support for the man she says isn't fit to serve.

** Michelle playing the part of the average "American Working Woman" when she is anything but that. And.. declaring her love of America despite her remarks over the past few months.

** Bill Clinton will get up there and do his duty despite his utter dislike for Obama.

** VP candidate Biden will be speaking (and crying) in total support for a man he said himself was not experienced enough to serve in the White House.

Do they honestly expect the undecided voters to buy this?

  1. I think you are underestimating the Democrats resolve to get the Bushy/McCains out of the White House.

Most of any convention is symbolic pandering.

Wait till the Republicans start rolling out the heart rending footage of McCain as a POW with America the Beautiful playing in the background.

The Democrats are simply putting and end to the pettiness, telling the Hillary hold-outs to get with the program or give up your claim to victory when Obama steamrolls McCain.

The neocons gotta go, it time to get on board or get out of the way.

  2. Constructive criticism and debate are the hall marks of a great democracy.  The fact that the Democrats can having the kind of divide in their party and still come together towards a joint goal says a lot more about them than the mindless, sheepish, blind following the Republicans seem to produce every year without question.

Liberalism is trust of the people tempered by prudence.  Conservatism is distrust of the people tempered by fear.

  3. Probably not, anybody watching or reading up on all the subplots occurring within the DNC. Can definitely see the divide within the Democratic party. You make some great points, and even then there has been no "bump" within the polls that shows anything positive coming out of all this.

  4. That's politics! Let's see if the RNC will be as entertaining.

  5. I hope McCain picks former bitter rival Mitt Romney for his VP Friday. That will show you.

  6. Why yes they do expect it.  Expect Obama to change his strategy and focus on pandering to individual groups.  That too is happening now, since the DNC realizes that most people are fed up with the "change" rhetoric.

And no, it can't get much faker.

  7. That's why Obama is sinking like a stone in the polls. The people are seeing through him. The fact is, John McCain WILL be President, to the delight of Americans and other countries!

    Count on it!

  8. No, it cannot!

  9. I agree, but somehow people are buying into it.

  10. tune in for republican convention and see how bush's base pretend to support mccain

and watch mccain telling the elite top that they have nothing to worry about, he intends to make it even better for them

  11. Do you want some cheese with your whine???

I'm sure the GOP convention is going to be "totally real"

  12. The best part is the Repubs have video of all of that and are using it against boy Obama.  The dis from Biden is particularly telling.

  13. Slo do you know anything about Politics? Politicians do not act or talk like regular normal people.  Everything is tongue and cheek with them.

  14. They have perfected defending the indefensible and proud graduates

    of my school,

  15. there is nothing spontaneous at all ,it is all carefully scripted right down to the obama brats talking to their dad.ever since clinton, the democrats do everything for effect,do you remember al gore kissing tipper?

  16. gimme a break theres no such thing as an undecided voter- how can you possibly know michelle is not a working class woman-

poor person, who went to an ivy league school and put herself through law school, yea thats the american dream right there

unlike the elitist mccain who is awash in millions of dollars he thinks 1 million is poverty

  17. ***** whine moan and complain. It's all here in one post. I've been enjoying it. Can't wait for the RNC. That should be a rock and roller.

  18. Actually this is perfect...now we can tell when these pricks are lying.  (Can tell for sure when these pricks are lying)

  19. History was made

Obama was nominated by a Republican!

    God Bless America!

  20. Nope. it's a circus and the clowns are in charge.

  21. You haven't seen anything yet, wait until republicans start theirs.

  22. The Dem convention is a political event.

Political events are not about individuals, but about parties, platforms and the direction this country needs to go in.

Bill and Hillary Clinton are playing their part to support a party that will turn this country around from the disaster of George W. Bush and there is every reason to believe that they are sincere in this support.

Michelle Obama was raised by working-class parents.  She is an example of the American dream made real; she is an example of what this country should be.  She is an example of what this country WILL be when the Democrats have had their 8 years to reverse the damage of Bush/McCain.

  23. If you are a republican or have your mind made up, then why

are you so interested in watching it?

  24. Yes, they do honestly expect the undecided voters to buy this. Why? Dems and the left think that We The People are stupid, and it is their duty to enlighten us all and tell us how to think.

I lived in a very liberal city for about 7 years, and when I first moved there, I was middle of the road. After 7 years, they pushed me way over to the far right.

While there, I experienced their total arrogance - this attitude that if you don't believe like them, you're a dumb redneck, and "unenlightened." If you express a traditional or pro-military stance, or just talk nicely about a Republican president, they become irate to the point of getting violent. I had several people in public start screaming at me; we had started chatting amicably, and when they encounter you expressing a belief that goes counter to them, they just explode. This is hate, and I mean HATE, pure and simple.

Dems and left-wing loons always say, "Let's open a dialogue; talk openly and embrace each other despite our differences." The so-called "tolerant" are only tolerant as long as you agree with them. Otherwise, they try to SHUT YOU DOWN!

  25. NO faking going on (it's all good) - the convention is just fine.

    whine, whine, whine, whine, whine

  26. I'll go through one by one:

    1. Hillary specifically said that the point of this was to unite behind their candidate.  Even if she doesn't agree with them she knows she has to appear as such in order to get anything accomplished.  Beyond that, during her campaign she had to debase him a little, so she was likely just trying to make herself look better, which wouldn't matter at this point.

    2. I don't get this one.  Her history is rather average up to a point.  What she gave as her background was true, especially during her childhood (which is what she was talking about).  As for declaring love for the country, she has always said she does, just not how the country is run and not the state of the poor in society, and she's been very specific abotu that.

    3. Bill Clinton is going to say whatever the h**l he wants to, and mainly because he doesn't like McCain at all he's going to support Obama.  Even if he doesn't like him, that's not fake.

    4. There will be no crying, and Biden was in the same boat as Hillary when he said this.  He was also trying to make her look better and him worse.  It's not fake, it's how politics works.  If you want to argue that politics is fake, that's another story.

If you're going to argue that they're all fakers, you should really back it up more.

  27. I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH YOU. THERE IS NOT A DROP OF HONESTY IN THOSE PEOPLE... ITS LIKE A GAME TO THEM
