Can the Detroit Red Wings bounce back after the kind of loss they suffered in last night's marithon?

Question

How can a team that outnumbered their opponent 3 to 1 in shots on goal lose that game?! What to h**l happened in the final seconds of the game,(how can they have blundered so horribly)and play so well? That's going to follow them to Mellon arena and this is going to go 7 games......don't know if I love it or hate it. That game last night, ..it's got me in a state of shock that "I" can't shake.

they will still win this series whether it takes 6 or 7 games.  in all reality, the Wings had them owned that whole game, except when it came to the final score.  I would look for them to bounce back to win the Cup as long as they played the same way they did last night.  DET couldn't help that Marc Andre was a wall in net

I was shocked they did not win even after the goal that put them in overtime.

These are some of the greatest players of all time playing for the Wings, Pittsburgh has some great young players, I think the wings will come back and win, it they do not ,I think it will be because Pittsburgh plays great, not because of Game 5, looks to me like we got two great teams playing great, and only one of them can win.   the operative word, GREEEAAATTT!!!!

Well, that's just you.  Any veteran team knows how to bounce back from that.  The Wings came out last night with too many jitters and cost them early.  In Game 6, expect the Wings to come out more focused than you've ever seen and win the Cup in Pittsburgh.

absolutely not...they've been battered both emotianally and physically, and more or less just engraved the Penguins names into the cup!(at least i hope so)

Plus, i think the marathon game will effect the older players of the Red WIngs more then the Pens younger lineup.

And the Wings already had a marathon game, so it'll have a harder effect on their bodies

Mellon Arena is gonna be rocking tomorrow night, and the Pens will force it to 7

They will be just fine.  They did the same thing against Nashville and Dallas.  When the series got close they played amazing and won.

I think they can...they have the experience to know that even though losing a marathon like that can drag them down, they can't let it drag them down.  They'll rest, regroup, and go again on Game 6.

Not to mention the Pens are younger...and now being back in the thick of the series they might churn out a first period similar to the Red Wings last night.  The nerves will be kicking.  Both teams know that the stakes are higher now.  Red Wings win, season over.  Pens win, Game 7 at the Joe.  Nerves will be present at opening faceoff.
