Carragher has retired so hes not an option. Personally its not the selection its the positions and tatics around the players that are the problem. Last night the midfield was open and did not do enough. The defence may need to focus a bit more.

I think we should get rid of beckham he has passed his time and is not a player I would like to see in the team in the world cup. We saw how the teams played in the euro's its too fast for him now. What will he be like if we have to play brazil or argentina?

Also I think we need a more solid forward selection. It seems rooney cannot function up there properly either he gets frustrated or comes so far from position there is no counter.

More work needed and fast.
