Freedom of speech and freedom of information are already against the fascist ideology to begin with. It is difficult for true fascism to even exist if these two freedoms are still in place. Restricting information is hindering the sharing of knowledge between sentient beings, thereby prolonging ignorance and making it easier for liars to make their lies believed. It is only when the government starts preventing people from dissenting, when it starts allowing only some opinions to be spoken, that a totalitarian regime can be implemented. Naturally this is something that must be stopped.
