I think it's currently unlikely, but if Benji Marshall and Sonny Bill Williams can steer clear of injury, then they can make the final. And anything can happen once they're in the final.

  1. The Kiwi's have fought hard to get respectability in this country and the debarcle that was the end of year tour has put rugby league in this country back 10 years.

Apart from Roy Asotasi the current batch have no heart no game plan and no idea. no we cant win, unless we find a genuine half and standoff we are dreaming, and the new

coaching staff need to look at themselves as well.

  2. interesting question at present i think not- what was it 52-0 against the aussies a month or two ago.

They need a whole new game plan and leadership group i think if they want to get to the class of the aussies.

  3. I agree, it's currently unlikely, but I'd watch out, especially the smaller nations eg Samoa and PNG. Australia only play 2 international matches in 2008 before the WC as well, which is not the best prep.

It will depend a lot on the back of those two guys (Benji and SBW, and also now Krisnan Inu, I think.), their form. Keep in mind that a lot can happen during an NRL season: injuries, suspension etc. and I'm thinking some of the new kids will be choosing their national allegiances, opting for NZ because they might not be able to get a place in the Australian squad...

  4. I think they can. But they dont need Benji or Sonny in the team to win. They didnt need them when they won the tri nations a couple of years ago however they did have key players like ruben wiki and stacey jones.

But i think benji and sonny are over-rated they cant do anything unless they have the backing up of their team and it sucks how people can degrade other players in the team by saying they have stars like these two.

The kiwi's should be stronger come november 2008. They SHOULD be in the final they just need a new captain.

  5. They have aswome players and if there best players r fit they could come very close, they will easilly kick the c**p out of England in the semi if they have there best team playing

  6. I doubt it. They should watch out for England.

  7. No Australia is going to kick everyones A.ss

  8. How long an answer do you want? OK I'll make it short......

    No.

  9. not a chance

    NOT A CHANCE

benji and sonny bill ! please

  10. There is no way! Unless of course the Aussies don't partake, and then of course if every other team was struck by some unusual otherworldly phenomenon, then yeah, they have a good chance.

And by the way it was 58 - 0!

  11. 100% Not!they need a good half back for a start, they rely too much on Benji Marshall and Sonny Bill Williams, and they got their behinds kicked by a second string Aussie team.As much as I'd love them to,I don't think they can

  12. The Kiwis can win the world cup next year. And they can do it without Sonny Bill Williams or Benji Marshall.

It's going to take some of the passion which has been missing for a while and a simple gameplan which takes advantage of their strength upfront.

By the way, Benji will not save us. He drops loads of tackles and chances are he won't have another good player partnering him in the halves.

And Sonny Bill is going to marked heavily much like he was in the Anzac Test by the Aussies.
