Can the LG player in this link "http://www.newegg.com/product/produ... write blu ray?

This player costs $300 dollars and plays both blu ray and hd dvd formats. If it also writes blu ray, at what speed? Is it any good?

If I read their p**p sheet correctly, and I'm pretty sure I did, it only "burns" DVD. Not HD-DVD or Bluray.

LG equipment is okay I guess. It's a good price for something that will play both HD formats. Stand alones are twice that much.

NO it can not it can only rec on DVD and CD not blu ray or HD-DVD

You link doesn't work. But at that price...it probably doesn't write bluray discs.
