  1. Yes, but I really don't recommend getting this camera. I'm taking a TV class at my high school right now, and these are two of the cameras we're using. Not only do they break every week, they feel very cheap and hollow, and the image quality is poor as well. There's no optical image stabilization and although it has about as much performance as a consumer panasonic 3ccd cam, it takes up about 4 times the space. Yes, it looks professional, but it doesn't feel like a pro camera, nor does it deliver in the image quality. I highly recommend getting an HV20 if you are making films, or if you want something that looks more "pro" to the average person who knows nothing about video, get an HV30, DVC-30 or GL2. It'll be money well spent. Hope this helps!

  2. Thers should be a little s***w whole in the bottom for the tripod s***w to go into. We have $5 digital cameras that have that whole so I'm pretty sure that camera should have it since it has such a high price tag on it. If oyu use a hot-shoe the shoe mounts using the same whole.

  3. Download the manual.
