  1. The Perseids will next be active from July 17 to August 24, 2008, with their peak on the morning of August 12, 2008. Because of the relatively high position of the constellation in the northern hemisphere, it will be difficult, but not impossible from Peru. You will need a clear northern horizon (as unobstructed as you can, and a very dark sky. Good luck!
