Can the Queen swim ?

Of course the Head of State can swim! The Queen is not a helpless person, She is more than capable of fixing minor mechanical faults on Her cars. Once when a visitor at the Palace commented that the plumbing in the toilet in her apartment was broken, The Queen replied, "Oh don't worry, I'll soon get that sorted".  The visitor, expecting The Queen to telephone for help was astounded when The Queen went to the apartment and "sorted it".

I've seen a picture of her as a young girl winning her life saving certificate in a swimming pool. She was wearing a very stern looking black swimsuit. She must have attained a fairly advanced standard to be a life saver.

Yes, the Queen can swim.  She and her sister took  swimming lessons when they were children.
