I think people are far enough its not goin to matter.

If rays dont get al east they get the wild card. If red sox dont get al east they get wild card.

Miss the play-offs, no I don't think so.  But they have a tough schedule this month with 3 more at NYY & Bos, 3 at home vs Bos and 4 vs Min. As I've been saying since the beginning of August, when evryone started making bold predictions about who will or won't make the playoffs,  there's STILL a lot of baseball to play and ANYTHING can happen.

If by "it" you mean win the East, yes, but the world series no.  I think they will fall short of the AL pennant.

Making the playoffs is a no-brainer. Will they win that division? I would say chances are they will but it would not surprise me to see the Red Sox become division champs again.

i think when we play tampa we will take a lot of games. in that case we will go up! i think they will choke!

I guarantee they make the playoffs, they've played great all season and even without Carl Crawford. Also, their pitching is consistent.

With just a little over 20 games left, there is no time for Boston, Chicago, or Minnesota to catch up. If they don't win the division outright, they will take the wildcard. All they have to do is beat out one team out of those three.

Last thing, although the Rays have 8 away games to finish off the regular season, its against Baltimore and Detroit. The schedule is in their favor.

Even if they don't hold on to the AL east lead, they're in good shape for the wild card. Getting past the Angels won't be easy though.

I doubt they will miss the playoffs. Losing the AL East looks extremely possible. The RedSox have games against them and it's too close. Going to the World Series-Extremely doubtful. They are not experienced enough. Playing the Yankees the past week proved it.

Becket's back and looking healthy. They've had a nice year and I thought maybe they would hold the Red Sox off, but I doubt it now.

Yes, right on! They'll choke.  Soon you'll see them slowly deteriorating.  Red Sox win the AL East and Yankees take the Wild Card.  The World Series this year: Yankees/Mets.  Yankees win 4 straight and win their 27th world title.

The Rays will win the east they play very well against boston and have a legit rivalry with them the Rays will make the playoffs take that to the bank and they have just as good of a shot at the world series as anybody.

I think they can, and will, make the playoffs.  They lead Boston by two and a half games, and they're up eight games on the Twins for the Wildcard with 23 games left.  

They've had one of the toughest schedules down the stretch, and despite losing Crawford, Longoria, and Percival they've miraculously held onto their 2-3 game lead on the AL East over the last month, with good pitching and timely hitting.  Percival has just returned, Longoria should be back in a few days, and they may get C.C. for the last week, just before the playoffs start.  

They've got six games left against the Red Sox; those six games will determine whether or not they win their first pennant.  I think so long as they split those two series, they'll win the Division--but even if they go in with the Wildcard they can go in with their heads held high.  This has been a great season for them.
