  1. evan longoria is on 15 day dl boston will pass them up

  2. Gonna be tough, but they have great pitching and timely hitting...except for last night!  They have to win those games.

  3. If they have players that can step up for the guys that are hurt they can.

But if guys don't step up they have no chance. They have to also play better on the road. The Rays have a lot of road games left.

  4. Nope I don't think so.  I think they will finish 2nd to the Red Sox, and 2nd in the wild card to either the Twins or White Sox.  They have like an insane amount of 30 of 40 games agains teams over .500.  Including 6 with the Red Sox and Yankees.  3 with the Twins, White Sox and Angels.  Check out their schedule it's brutal. Plus facing a dangerous offensive team in the Rangers, and a decent starting staff against toronto doesn't help.  They will have a tough time, and I don't think they will pull it off.

  5. yah they can

  6. Losing Longoria and Crawford was devastating to them. I just invision a collapse where the Red Sox take the East and the Yankees slip in to the wild card. I think everyone still sees this in the back of their mind and when these two guys got hurt, it moved to the front of our minds.

  7. Yes they can and I think they will.

  8. Of course they can - you gotta believe! And............. Rocco's back!

  9. Yes, they can. Boston passed them once in the second half and I thought they will stay at the top for the season. Somehow Rays crawled back to the top which is truly amazing. One or two guys won't affect the standing that much. It is all about the team.

I thought Red Sox should be the team to beat but I really doubt their talent level is good enough to win the division that easily. It won’t surprise me to see Rays pull this off and win the division, but I won’t put my money on neither of them though.

  10. I give the alot of credit but I'm still don't think they will survive the rough schedule in September.

  11. they will pull it off because even without them in there line up they wont lose enough

  12. Yes, they can, but if they don't, they can't use injuries as an excuse. I hate hearing this, but every team has to deal with them.

The Rays were banged up in April, but have pretty much avoided injuries to key players until now. It hurts that they lose their two best offensive players, but Boston was also without Ortiz for a long time, and the Yankees have been without Wang, Matsui, and Posada. Injuries can really ruin a team's season. Some you can deal with, but Longoria and Crawford are huge losses, just like the players mentioned above.

The Rays are not a great road team. They are great at home, but that's where they have done their damage. On the road, it's another story, and the road is where they will play most of their games.

  13. The Rays are gonna PLUMMET!
