I think he's definitely going to improve them, but whether he can take them all the way? I doubt it.

  1. Mason's not a game winner. He's not the guy that comes up with the excellent play when it's tied up and there's two minutes left; he's the guy who'll stand there and shout at his team to keep going with the claps on the back and so on.

I think that one of the reasons the Roosters didn't fare well this season was mindset, the spirit wasn't there, just like at the Knights' camp. In that way, I think Mason'll do good as he fires everyone up, but if there's someone who'll guide them to victory, it'll be Freddy, the coach.

  2. He'll just fade into obscurity and the Roosters will continue to struggle.

  3. I dont even think he will imporve the side much personally. frankly i find him overrated and lacking the heart and courage of other forwards like price and kite and the likes.

  4. No. In saying that they have Senemana Sa'a (might be Pelemana but both are probably wrong) who I think is game winners but the loss of Craig Wing is going to hit them hard.

  5. ahahahaha is that a trick question? h**l no will they win im not even sure that he will improve the team. alot of teams are getting better at tackling bigger guys and defence for some are increasing so i dont think he is a threat to anybody.

the TAB were paying $17 for them to win it but with the inclusion of willie they are now on $11, the same as the warriors. The warriors have a better chance at winning the premiership than the roosters.

  6. He'll add something to them no doubt, but regardless of that they seemed pretty good late in the season this year so they have a sniff even without Willy. I think they will make top eight with a chance of top 4 but won't win. Manly and Melbourne won't go backwards much next year so I don't see why one of them won't win the premiership.

  7. they will be even better in 2008

but willie will bring unwanted press to the club as usual

  8. Probably not,I think Willie Mason's the man, but them winning the title, nah.Give them a couple of years maybe, not in 08' though
