Question:

Can the Scosche Modulator (FM-MOD01) be used on a 06 Altima?

I have a 2006 Altima with no external radio antenna. I am looking for a good way to play my MP-3 over the factory installed radio. All of the FM transmitters I have tried suck and I have read good things about the Scosche FM-MOD01. Before I purchase one, I'd like to know if I can use this device on my Altima with internal rather than external radio antenna. Thanks in advance!

  1. Yes the Scosche FM-MOD01 will work perfect in an 06 Altima. This unit will actually install inline on the antenna cable behind the radio. This aproach allows the FM-MOD01 to supply a strong signal directly into the radio resulting in less interference and better sound quality. With the 06 Altima you will also need the Scosche NDAB and NDARB antenna adapters to fit the FM-MOD01 to the factory antenna plugs.

  2. I'm not sure about this Scosche modulator but I do know of one that works with your car specifically. The one you need is the Axxess - XIAH-NS1 for an  Ipod or the Axxess AFM-MOD for any MP3 player. The Ipod will charge your unit and alow it to play through your factory radio and speakers. The MP3 cable will do the same except it will not charge your MP3 player. I don't know about the Scosche modulator but I do know that these Axxess interfaces work great. I know this b/c I have one for my Ipod and I sell them all day. If you got questions hit me up DUECES!!!
