Can the Spanish come after you , if you default, as you mortgage is getting impossible to pay?

we have a villa ( pension gone wrong ) but the mortgage has doubled , we are trying to get a deal with bank , But they only want more money , Our spanish solicator is not alot of help, please can someone advise , this is driving us both mad with worry, thanks for reading , is there a web site for this ?

If you default they will (at the very least) repossess your villa .. no doubt, after selling it at auction for half it's market value (if you are lucky) they will then try to pursue you for the remainder   (unless you have a Mortgage Insurance Policy)

A lot will depend on the Mortgage Contract and who it is with  = if it's a UK Bank or Building Society, you can be sure they will come after you ...

2) Get a better Spanish solicitor
