Can the US join the European?

I think it would be of great gain if the US joined the EU,economically, and in almost any other way, so is it possible for companies outside of europe to join the EU

No the European Union is for nations that are physically in Europe. The US is in America so it can not join the EU.

The United States is already destroyed by the dollar crisis Now if they join the European Union that would be 100% bad it would be like there is no more United states . Anyway this can never happen because country's outside Europe can not join the European Union. BUT who knows what Bush will do before his term is over he has like 7 months left to destroy or fix THE U.S. Does the U.S look like a country who depends on someone else and does Europe want this I think Not European hate Americans I know this Because I am in Europe and Whenever someone here hears about an American they say who cares they think there the strongest so let them fight alone there problems. The EU was created so they could compete with the U.S.

Before the E.U. Europe struggled with two many different currencies and to many restrictions with goods going across the many borders. No it would not be good if the U.S. jointed the EU, but as a prior Y/Aer stated the libs are looking for a new world order so anything is possible

That would definitely be ironic given that most Europeans in favor of a stronger EU are so because they want  a "counter" to the United States. Secondly, the EU organization is often seen by the citizens of many member countries as too imposing, corrupt, and self-serving and want out. In the UK, many are angry because they aren't given a vote on the matter of EU membership. Not sure why we would want in when so many who are members don't want to be.
