I have a Sony Handycam DCR-DVD92 and I want to transfer a video from it onto my computer. Will this cable work for trasfering?

Here is a link of it: http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=11040609&tab=Features

If this cable won't work then which will?

  1. That cable might work - but you will also need a video capture card already installed and working in your computer or an external "Analog/Digital bridge" like

    or

What may be easier - if your computer has a drawer loading DVD drive - is to rip the DVD with something like HandBrake

Never put a miniDVD disc in a slot loader... and of course, if your computer's optical drive does only CDs, then putting a DVD in there won't work, so you will be back to the analog/digital bridge solution.
