Can the WWE HOF really be taken seriously without?

Its a given that Steamboat, Malenko, Ted DiBiase, Brian Pillman, and Bossman, and Rick Rude will be in the HOF one day..

Well, maybe not Sting. It is the WWE HoF, after all. And Benoit will never go in. But no, the HoF cannot be taken seriously as long as Sammartino and Backlund's spots are being taken up by that "Refrigerator" Perry guy and Pete Rose.

The bottomline is, if WWE just picks and chooses who goes in the Hall of Fame by WWE standards..who they don't have a beef with, and not by a wrestling industry as a whole standard..it won't be taken serious.

If somebody is wrestling related, and is a legend and deserves it, he or she should be in, period.

The WWE Hall of Fame is a total joke. It's not a real Hall of Fame at all. It's just an acknowledgement of who WWE wants to acknowledge for their contributions, but some of the HOF candidates like Pete Rose don't belong in there. There are some candidates that deserve the honor like Savage and Bruno, but they have heat with WWE so it likely won't happen for the time being.

Sure it can be taken seriously. People might complain about some celebs in it but when they inducted them they put them in the "celebrity wing" so whats the big deal about them in it. Rose did after all take back to back to back chokeslams from Kane at mania and the fridge did win a battle royal. I do think LT should also be inducted into the Celebrity wing of the HOF though.

Also Its not like its the only HOF for anything out their that has some deserving people not in it. Roger Maris was the single season HR champ for almost 40 years and hes not in the Baseball HOF.

As for the guys you named if I am correct Bruno hates Vince so he might have already have been offered to get in a refused.

Vince hates Savage I know you might think well he still deserves to be in but just like in other sports its all politics. If the writers hate someone in Baseball they wont get in.

Benoit would just be bad publicity if they let him in and even as a fan of the wrestler Benoit I don't think it would be wise to induct him in now if they just put him in with no mention I would be all for it.

Bruiser still could get inducted someday. Bruiser is awesome but its not like he has huge name value to make him and instant hall of famer.

Backlund has the accomplishments to have already deserved to be in but as long as he still keeps making occasional appearance he won't be in. If you were Vince would you want someone who could go to TNA be in the hall only for TNA to come out and say we have a WWE HOFer schedule for an event.

I could actually see Sting in the WWE HOF one day after he is fully retired. It would be good for both him and WWE. For him it could mean a huge DVD deal with the WWE.

Steamboat would already be in but I heard his ex wife use to own the copywrite to his name.

Pillman not so sure if he will ever make it. Im a huge fan but if u want to base it off name value and accomplishments he isnt that impressive. although had he not died so young he would have done more.

ted and dave both work for the wwe and will be in no doubt.

rude and bossman should also be.

as for guys I think should be in.

Davey Boy Smith should be in the HOF.

I think it can never be taken seriously until they recognize performers outside of the WWE I mean it does stand for World Wrestling Entertainment. WWE needs to quit being selfish

It can't. COME THE **** ON, a hall of fame without BRUNO MY GOD SANMARTINO AND STEAMBOAT AND SAVAGE and STING and RICK RUDE! Also you forget luger. ALso all of the people you mentiond. How about BRUISER BRODY.  Bob Backland. It is a joke like charile said. You are right mag, it can't be taken serisouly. As long as rose and willam perry ( who should be in the football hall of fame) are in it , then it is a joke.
