  1. If you don't have a way of measuring CO2 per breath and multiplying by the number of breaths per day, then the best way to go about this might not be by measuring gases, but by measuring food intake.

If your weight is not changing, then the weight of the CO2 you put out can be calculated from the number of moles of carbon in such a person's daily food intake - from the weight of the sugars, starches, proteins and fats that they take in.  Take care when balancing equations - one omle of glucose could yield six of CO2 because it has 6 carbons.

  2. Sorry guys stop all that bad calculations . There are CO2 gas detectors that can measure it to 1 ppm. Now remember that CO2 is a very heavy gas so it is on the ground. Now mother nature and the plants are on the ground also.U would be surprised how much CO2 the plants around u absorber . Lindon is a beautiful green place when I was there and that is what keeps u out of trouble. NASA studied about using ALGAE to purify their on long space ship trips .

  3. Every time a person exhales, he/she puts out about 4.5% carbon dioxide. The average adult breathes about 10 times a minute....slightly more for kids. So if you calculate that number and multiply it by the number of people in London, you have your answer.
