  1. I know using the computer can cause eyestrain, but the effects are temporary.  You can do things to help minimize eyestrain such as changing your focus from a near object to a distance object and repeating the process a few times about every 20 minutes or so.

I also like rapid blinking about 50 to 100 times.  It helps lubricate your eyes naturally.  People tend to blink less when using the computer so it really helps.

  2. it is not the computer that will bother your vision it is the glare from the monitor.. glare will give you eye strain eye fatigue even headaches so i would definitely advise you see an optimist a.s.a.p

  3. Yes,

Staring at a light can harm your eyes. The glare from the monitor will do that.

Go to View and Text Size, and go to largest size so you don't have to get so close to the monitor (move your chair back.

When you write a word doc, change the Background (through Format) to a light green.

Blue and red are at the extremes of the spetrum, but GREEN is the easiest color to look at

  4. im thinking probably so.

my vision was hurt by sitting too

close to the television when i was littler.

at 12 years old, i had to wear contacts.

im 14 now and my eyesight is decreasing.

i do belive that it can hurt your eyes.

but just to make sure, you should ask your doc.

    God Bless you!♥
