Can the doctor hear the heart beat yet?

Question

Im 11 weeks today can the doctor hear the heart beat.. I was going to go today cause I have hurt my siatic nerve in my back (sorry cant spell it) from cleaning yesterday as we are in the mist of moving.. Im worried as I used oven cleaner yesterday and Im just worrying I dont know why.. Thank you for your answers

oh if using only the doppler/fetoscope, at 11weeks it might be hard to hear the heartbeat just yet. although in an ultrasound, heartbeat can already be seen and its already very discernible. mine, i saw my baby's heart beating at barely 8weeks during an ultrasound :) take care

My doctor couldn't find mine until week 13... but it can be seen on ultrasound much earlier (I think around week 8 or 9?).

Of Course the doctor can hear the heart beat at 11 weeks. It can be heard much sooner!

on average a Dr can detect a heartbeat between 11-13 weeks. So probably, but if they can't don't fret, they will probably order an ultrasound if you tell them you are worried and then you will even be able to get a look at the baby

Sure, you doc should be able to pick up the heartbeat by now!!

Good luck, hope you get to hear it.  And try not to cry...too much!  I cried every time I heard my daughters heartbeat.

The one answer you got is nuts.. my doctor didn't even try listening for the heartbeat with the doppler until around 14 weeks... he always told me before 12 weeks is too early to hear it wiith the doppler... I wouldn't count on it... Don't worry about the cleaning supplies either... just make sure that when you use them you are doing it with ventilation.. open the window or something... but that is common sense...
