My HSG was done on CD11, which is period usually i ovulate...I had to schedule on that day coz of the availability of the doctor...The test results are good...my tubes are open and healthy...

Later i got a doubt that if i have ovulated on that day, my egg might have flushed out with the dye....

My question is can the doctor see the egg during the test if i have been ovulated?

  1. It is unlikely that they would see anything . . . the actual egg is microscopic . . . when the doctors are doing scans like ultrasounds for fertility treatments they are looking at the follicles that release the egg . . . I doubt that the techs were examining your ovary for follicles during the test.

Have fun trying this month and feel good about having no blockages!  Lots of women get pregnant shortly after an hsg . . . kind of like the flushing cleaned out any residue and everything is now working.

    Best wishes & baby dust!
