  1. Sure.

  2. I don't know if this has been decided.

If a previous president has been out of office at least one full term, then absolutely yes.

If the immediately previous president become VP and then the president meets with misfortune after taking the oath of office, that's not so clear.  I think so, but you can bet some lawyers will make a career out of the litigation all the way to the Supreme Court on this one.

If the immediately previous president becomes VP in the election and before taking office, the president-elect croaks, I think it invalidates the election because in that case the sitting president would have to succeed himself.

  3. Depends on how many terms he served as President. If he served two terms as President or at least two years of a term to which someone else was elected, and then his own term, he could still be Vice-President, but if the Presidency became vacant, he could not succeed to the vacancy. (If you're thinking of Bill Clinton serving as Vice-President to Hillary, Bill would have his own fish to fry as First Gentleman.)

  4. Only if he had only been president for one term, because of term limits.   If something happened to the president and the vice had to step into the seat he would not be qualified because of term limits.   However I believe if a president had been president for only one term he could be vice president.

  5. Oh... Good god.. Please no... Anyone but bush!

  6. It depends. George HW Bush can. Jimmy Carter can. Those are the only two that are still alive than can be vice-president.

  7. If he has only served one term. The vice president must be eligible for presidency.
