Question:

Can the features of Yahoo Music Jukebox Plus be used without being connected to the Internet?

I recently migrated my MusicMatch Plus license to Yahoo Music Jukebox. However, I only have a dial-up connection, and most of the time cannot be connected to the internet while I listen to music. It seems that unless I am signed in to Yahoo, the player will not allow me to use any Plus features. Is it possible to use them when I am offline? Thanks for any help.

  1. I think you already answered your own question.  However, you could do an experiment. Sign on to YMJ and then hang up the phone.  Try File->Print a CD label.  That requires YMJ plus.  Exit(close) YMJ and then start YMJ and see if that makes a difference.  You get the jist.

  2. Since YMJ does not have near the features that MMJB does, get rid of YMJ and continue to use MMJB.  I've read this time and time again on the Yahoo! Music answer website.  So best advice, remove YMJ and continue to use MMJB for all your music listening pleasure.  Or at least until YMJ gets there act together and comes out with a product that is at least equal to the latest version of MMJB.

  3. You could listen to the songs you have on your computer
