Can the foods you eat before you go to bed affect dreams?

Let's say I had a bowl of ice cream... Would I get nightmares?

  1. You could.Eating before bed makes the body work harder and thus causes dreams and restlessness.Spicy food is worse.

  3. It usually will only affect you if you are having digestion problem or you ate so much you are feeling uneasy. You can eat ice cream before, but if it doesn't affect you so much, it won't affect you. If you felt so much pleasure with your ice cream, you might have a good dream. If it doesn't affect you that much, then you'll not be affected. But if you think about it too much, then chances are it will affect your dream.  Otherwise, a lot of people will have almost the same dream when eating a certain food. There is no evidence of that happening - at least in research; only in urban legends.

  4. Yes. Pickles and such other foods can also heighten your chance of having a lucid dream.

  5. only certian food like really strong cheese.
