Can the gloss on my (black) kitchen sink be regained? ?

I have a double sink and I must of used the wrong product to clean it. Now one side is dull and the other has a high gloss.

try a tablespoon a washing soda fill the sink with hot water to dissolve the soda let it get cold then wipe out the silk with a hot rag

You don't say what kind of sink it is...a wipe over the dull area with some oil will temporarily restore the shine.  Suitable polish will probably do a longer lasting job. You could always ask the manufacturer for their suggestions.
