  1. If it can be prevented, then it is NOT inevitable.

  2. zzz... yes it can... just close your eyes... hmmm... beer... zzz...

  3. If it was preventable then it couldnt be inevitable. Just like the truly impossible could never be possible.

  4. they say fools rush in where angels fear to thread so if we thread lightly maybe we can prevent (or at least postpone) the inevitable.

  5. It cannot be prevented,  but it can be avoided if you have honed your reflexes to the sharpest.

    Execute evasive maneuvers!

  6. no...that goes against the definition of "inevitable"...

thats like "can true be false?"

  7. yes, for people who think six hours ahead.

  8. You need to look up the definition of inevitable.  By its definition, no it cannot be prevented.  Preventing the inevitable is oxymoron.

  9. you are expecting a positive answer for question, aren't you?? :) anyway, if you really are willing to prevent the inevitable, then i think you can... how?? its in your own ways... remember, impossible can sometimes be possible...

  10. No.  Inevitable is akin to unavoidable.  It is something (an event or an act) that occurs without your (prior) knowledge or foresight. What is inevitable cannot be avoidable nor preventable.

  11. i would refer to my kinda logic...

  12. The inevitable can be delayed/preempted, so to a certain extent it can be prevented, by human intervention.  For example a soldier mortally wounded will surely die if left alone, but when given treatment he can be saved from a certain death.  Same thing when we get sick.  We seek medical attention to get well and delay the inevitable.

On matters of the heart, we do some preempting of the inevitable too.  For instance, we all know that falling in love runs the high risk of getting hurt.  And yet we defy the odds - we still fall in love (oftentimes, too hard; sometimes, too often).  So why do we risk it?  Well, how else can we know that we can conquer the inevitable if we don't take the first step?

  13. Absolutely!  By Divine intervention.
