Can the irs take my money if my wife owes them and she is a user on my account?

  1. Your question is unclear any answers you get will be guesses based on what the person thinks you were asking.


  2. I don't think so. They can only garnesh wages if she is working somewhere.

  3. Usually only as a last resort.  If she owes them and they have exhausted all other avenues to collect from her, they may file a levy on any bank accounts she has.  If it is a joint account, they could conceivably try to do just that if they've not been able to contact or collect from her.
