  1. The Packers put what they call a "Poison pill" clause in the trade of Favre to the Jets.  The Jets cannot trade Favre to the Vikings, or the Packers would receive THREE first round picks in upcoming drafts, or three first round picks currently on the team.  Not sure which, but that's the safeguard that the Packers put in the trade.  They don't want Favre to be on the same team with Adrian Peterson, beating the Packers like a red-headed stepchild every year.  The Vikings are an up and coming team, with also that big star DE they just got from the Chiefs, Jared Allen.

I am not sure if the "poison pill" was stipulated against the Bears, or Lions, but it's a no-go with the Vikings.

  2. Im sure there is some kinda language in the deal that restricts the J-E-T-S from doing that this year . If that was the case you would've see like in baseball a 3 team trade

  3.   theres a clause in the trade that makes it so he cannot be traded to MN, at least.

  4. They can turn around and trade him to Tampa....and tampa can trade him to the Vikings...........

Funny thing The Vikings were willing to give up 5 years worth of drafts for Herchel Walker, but didnt want to give up a 2nd and a 3rd rounder for Brett?

  5. No, when athletes sign a contract they usually have a NO-TRADE-CLAUSE which means they can't be traded for a year. On NFL Live Brett Favre was happy to be the big spotlight in the Big Apple. So the Jets can't re-trade back to any team.

  6. Why? They released the previous starter Chad Pennington, so if they trade it would be for a QB and in the NFC north they have terrible QB's. Even compared to Pennington they arent very good so it would just s***w them over at QB if they did.

  7. there's a clause in the trade that says if the jets trade favre to the vikings they must give the packers 3 first round picks...so that's probably not a good option for the jets

  8. they could but it will cost the Jets to give Packers 3 first round picks

  9. Why?

  10. Yes they can, but at the cost of 3 first round draft picks.

  11. no , and besides i think they should keep farve even if they firedchad penington
