I just have this weird feeling that I am being watched on my own apartment.

Is the landlord allowed to install cameras in the apartments and watch what is going on inside?

  1. absolutely not...that is an invasion of your privacy rights and he can be prosecuted for that.

  2. h**l no... he sure is NOT allowed to do that.  If he has, then he's doing it totally illegally.  Search your apt. for anything out of the ordinary... and little holes in the walls, patch them up.  If you really feel he has "bugged" you, then you need to search all the items in your place for camera's..........

  3. No, he can have them in the public areas, but not inside.

I can't remember what this is called, but you can find the camara.

Go to a hardware rental place, one that rents out construction equipment.    There is a device that you can use which identifies electricity and if it is in use or not.   Some lights blink for wires exist, no current being drained, others for not grounded, others for active current.   They use this to make sure the house is properly wired, but you could use it to find active current where it should not be.     I rent these whenever I think a tenant messed with the wiring in a house, it is very easy to use.

  4. Usually it legal for a landlord to install cameras in common areas....but not in the apartment.

  5. ever wonder y shop car paks etc tell u yr being watched even speed camras are yellow for a reason. this would be invasion of privicey
