  1. they might in the year 2009!!! LOL

  2. No, the Caps will win the division and the eastern conference.  We just signed Theodore and Ovechkin will be MVP once again.

  3. No, I don't think they can. But the Caps overachieved, the lightning can too. And the Hurricanes are going to be a force again, no way we get that many injuries to key players and our D has improved.

Lighting still have questionable defense and goaltending. Kolzig is old and Smith is unproven. We'll have to see on this one, but as of now my predition is

    1. Hurricanes

    2. Capitals

    3. Tampa Bay

    4. Florida

    5. Atlanta

With the hurricanes and Caps making the playoffs.

  4. it will be hard to get past the caps in the SE, but with Kolzig in net and something to proove against the Caps, anything is possible.

  5. All depends on their defense! I like the bolts more than caps.

  6. No......I don't think they'll win the SouthEast. I believe the Caps will. The Caps are an all around better team. I do expect the Lightning to make the playoffs though, but not win the division.

  7. Nope. Don't worry Andrew, the Capitals will win the SE Division. Only if the Lightning can get a decent goaltender then it'd be close.

  8. No, they'll probably be second or third in the southeast.  Sure they have kickass forwards, but Kolzig is super old and they need a good goalie and defense.  Like last year - Richards, Lecavalier, Prospal, St. Louis - They had incredible forwards but they ended up DEAD LAST because they had no goaltending or defense.  So just because they signed more good forwards they're not going to all of a sudden go from last place to top 3 in the East/win the SE division.  They will probably put up a better fight for that title than they did last year, but it will only become a reality if they get better defense.

  9. Beat ya to it, buddy!

  10. Again, I only see one SE team making the playoffs. Whether it's the Bolts or Caps I'm not sure but it should be an interesting race. If you figure Montreal, Ottawa, Boston, Buffalo, New Jersey, Philly, Pittsburgh and the Rangers should also be playoff teams there is not a lot of room left. One of the above has to be bumped since the division winner is quaranteed a spot.

  11. I think the teams are improving alot in the SE division. I see them making the playoffs but i'm also hoping the canes make it to playoffs. I think the Canes, Caps, and bolts have the possibility to make playoffs and i hope they do.

  12. I feel as though the Caps are the strongest team in the SE. However, I could see any team in the SE winning the division(except Florida).

  13. The have a chance, I'm not saying the WILL win, but will be a 2 horse race for the SE Title.

  14. They have a shot but they despretaley need goaltending and defense....if they don't get that I expect them to be loosing a lot of very high scoring games....even if you score 6 goals if you let 7 in you'll lose all the time....

get defense and goaltending and you could be the Flyers of last year!
