  1. Yes....depending on where you are staitioned they will send you to a college near by. Also they have classes available on base too. I think its a good oppurtunity.

  2. Yes,with a G.I. bill.just go in and ask a recruiter about it,and they will have all the info on it  that you need.Great that you want to dothis. My BF is a marine and is very proud of that fact. He said good luck to you.

  3. yes AND just some people just tried to recruit me and this was one of their methods

  4. o yes

    some times they pay

    FULL 4 year scholar ship

  5. Yes, the Marine Corps or any branch of the military, can help pay for college.  The G.I. Bill pays approximately $35,000 (and growing) for college over a three year period.  I was active duty in the Marine Corps and I invested some money in the "kicker", which just adds more money to your total G.I. Bill benefits.  I've paid for much of my college and you can even apply the funds to rent or food.  Really, it's just money they give you every month as long as you're going to school for a degree or certification.  They won't pay you if you just take any class you feel like taking.  Pay is based on attendance.  Full-time students receive the max amount a month and half-time students receive half.  I think right now I'm getting $1225 a month.  Again, you'll receive this money as long as you're going to school but only for three years.

  6. yea they can but you r very limited on what u can take as far as classes

  7. if you make under poverty guidelines & over 25 you can get free pell grants

  8. Yes it can it will if that is what you want it to.  It's called the GI bill, which will pay for your education after you pass boot camp and get out of the service.  some guys try to go to school while in the service so you may want to try that as well as going to college after you get out of the service.  Remember the military has a lot to offer in the world wide work force from frying hamburgers to building bridges to flying the space shuttle.  Any thing you want to learn you can do it in the US Armed forces, that includes the Coast guard the only draw back is that you may have to serve some time in a hostile environment.  Join the Navy, you don't have to carry a heavy a** pack every were you go because you are on a ship floating to your next port and not walking to your next camp....

Good luck and be cool and stay in school....

    Keep the Faith....PEACE....cya....

On June 22, 1944, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt signed into law one of the most significant pieces of legislation ever produced by the United States government: The Servicemembers' Readjustment Act of 1944, commonly known as the GI Bill of Rights. By the time the original GI Bill ended in July 1956, 7.8 million World War II veterans had participated in an education or training program and 2.4 million veterans had home loans backed by VA. Today, the legacy of the original GI Bill lives on in the Montgomery GI Bill.
