Can the only way Mccain can win is to discredit Obama?

On the issues McCain cannot possibly win because everyone hates Bush and on every single issue most people agree with Obama such as: Iraq, health care, abortion, guns, g*y rights, etc. Very few people suopport the quagmire that is Iraq that has killed 1 million Iraqis, and the economy is in a recession because of the: high unemployment, inflation, stagflation, outsourcing of jobs, automation, weak dollar, huge debt, trade deficit, housing mess and the high gas prices.

I think so. How do you attack a guy who won't use dirty politics, name call...etc and tries to come off as "pure" such as obama?

the only way is to try to discredit him. It's as simple as that.

I'm independent and I feel the only way obama/biden loses is if they have a complete meltdown

but imo this election is over for real. Not even wasting my time watching the back and forth between these two parties.

If people really focus on the issues that are important (economy, gas prices, terrorism) McCain/Palin wins in a landslide.

You should know by now---mudslinging is what most Republican platforms are based upon.  They can't build themselves up because they have no ideas (i.e. keep things the same--business as usual), so they drag the other candidate down.

All the Republicans did last night was blow hot air and attack Obama over and over about the same things. Palin's speech literally said nothing about healthcare, the economy, creating new jobs, ending the war, etc. The only thing she mentioned was drilling for oil, and she only mentioned that so she could get in a plug about her home state.  They are beating a dead horse to death about Obama's experience, lack of military service, him being a "community organizer", etc.  Guiliani was especially an a**hole.  Plus she flat-out LIED when she said he was going to raise taxes on everyone.  He plans to actually

cut taxes for the majority of the middle class, and only raise them if you make $250,000 or more a year.

The only reason McCain picked her was to please the true conservatives since he is more moderate.  The truth is she has

very little experience and it will come out the next couple of months in the campaign.  Especially in the debates---I can't wait for her to debate Biden.  That should be very entertaining to watch.

Of course it is! If you've taken your car to the same mechanic for 8 years, and your car now doesn't run and has fallen apart, why in the world would you go back to that same mechanic again?? It's easier to discredit Obama than McCain.  At least you can attack Obama directly, the only way that Obama can discredit McCain is to try to tie him to Bush.

Seriously, listen to his speeches and you'd think he's running against Bush or that McCain was Bush's VP.

That's what republicans do , they have no policy proposals so what do they do ? they attack Obama , they can't disagree with his proposals so the ONLY thing they can do is keep on repeating that down-syndrome " ooh obama is inexperience" thing .

His support of baby murder, cutting/running from that quadmire in Iraq, raisng taxes and most importantly doing NOTHING to earn the job are plenty of "credit" for him.
