Can the owner of a Yahoo group resign and pass on ownership to someone else?

moderators can add, remove or change privileges of other moderators, if the owner gave them that privilege- only a owner can add another owner-

The owner can make someone else an owner first and then leave the group.  If they don't do it in that order, the group will just be abandoned and have no owner.  Moderators can leave the group at any time and the owners can replace them.
