  1. Most guitar shops have qualified repair staff in house or an external tech they refer clients to. I agree with the other posters though that the best thing to do is learn how to change the strings yourself. You'll save a lot of money over time but, most importantly, you won't be left in the lurch if you break a string while you're out playing somewhere. I highly recommend Dan Erlewine's book "How To Make Your Electric Guitar Play Great" - it's a wonderful resource. Feel free to contact me for some helpful string-changing tips. My friends call me the Yoda of string changes, so I think I could help you out.

  2. Sure, they might charge u though

  3. They can probably even show you how to do it.

  4. Yeah, but I'd go to an independent music store and ask for them to show you how to change your own strings.  I believe you have to know all about your instrument - including how its put together and how to do at least minimal repair work.

  5. Better yet HAVE THEM TEACH YOU HOW.. because they can show you how to do it and the next time you can change the strings yourself.

  6. Zacwrixon is right on the money, but here's my two cents worth anyway. There are tons of sites on the net that will help you with learning ALL about guitars, but this will get you to restringing directly:

P.S. Zacwrixon should get a Best Answer for his response!

  7. Id imagine so. I got mine restrung at some music store that I can't even remember the name of now. >_<
