Can the private company buy back my shares if I have no longer an interest in the company.?

If I can't find a buyer can the private company as a whole entity buy back my shares?

  1. The company can buy them if they pass a special resolution, which they seldom do. You will have to find another share holder who wants to buy them and unless the company is quite profitable It will not be easy. This is the problem with private companies..

    if you can't get one of the board to buy the shares, then do you have enough voting percentage to force a sale into the treasury assets of the company?
