So I got tricked into clicking the link that causes your screen to display lots of disturbing images while some guys yell "Hey everybody Im watching g*y p***" I opened task manager to stop firefox...but am wondering if there is something else anywhere on my computer that I should be worried about....Also I read that the trick sends emails to your email list if you have it open...I had yahoo open, how can I tell if it sent anything?

  1. Use an anti-spyware. this will probably fix that.

  2. Restart your PC in safe mode with networking

Download, install and run a full scan with Malwarebytes

Run a full scan with Micro Trend House Call

    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

After the scans, restart the PC and update your anti-virus, remember to only have one anti-virus installed on your PC

  3. well u should hav a look in ur yahoo accounts sent box. And u will no whether it had sent anythng or not.

Then u shud clear all d add ons in fire fox and uninstall them besides dis also clear all d cookies and history.

And it would b better if u unistall d firefox and use internet explorer or opera instead !!

Scan ur computer with good antivirus like kaspersky

u can download d trial version from

    www.kasperskylabs.com

  4. when 'viruses' send e-mails out through your account it is usually referring to using software based e-mail clients address books. not web based, as this would involve the code getting into your web mail.

The chances are though as you're running fire fox, which is a much securer browser then Inert Exploder even if you did have ur contacts list open, no e-mails would have been sent.

this sounds like mainly a java script based trick, and simply by looking through ur options menu you can disable most of the tricks it uses to prevent you from closing the tab normally.

  5. download and run spyware product from http://www.geeksjunction.com to check whether your computer is infected with spyware.

  6. check your yahoo sent messages.
