God save the Queen ( verse two)

O Lord, our God, arise,

Scatter her enemies,

And make them fall.

Confound their politics,

Frustrate their knavish tricks,

On Thee our hopes we fix,

God save us all.

  1. God save the queen is the British national anthem, not the English. Land of hope and glory is the English anthem. As sang at England rugby league matches.

  2. You're a t**t & don't deserve any respect. Grow up!

  3. I'd think you'll find about 1% of the English know the second verse of the British national anthem so no, I doubt it very much that this could be a reason for disrespect. But great try at digging something up to have a pop.

Have you any examples of English disrespect??

  4. The English do not disrespect their opponents.  Furthermore until not too long ago this was also New Zealand's national anthem!!  Suck on that blue poo.

  5. It is a nations right to affirm defeat of its enemies so long as this is in the context of DEFENSE and not ATTACK or INVASION.

While their must be exceptions to this rule as in America's involvement in Japan,  Korea, Vietnam and Iraq which involved execution of forces threatening global security thus defense of less powerful allies the English standpoint has often been more Imperialistic and hence more dangerous historically.

Conversely Englands Imperialism helped save us all from being  permanently invaded by the forces of n**i Germany and may possibly be called for again within our lifetimes.

  6. Then what is the excuse for the Italians turning their backs on the All Blacks while they performed the Haka in the opening match for pool C... I found that pretty darn disrespectful.

  7. Who knows

    Diva

When I joined the NZ Army I swore allegience to the NZ flag and sung the NZ anthem with pride
