if they can, i think he could finally be the final piece in the suns roster. their roster would look like this:

Shaq

Amare

Hill

Bell

Nash

then off the bench,

Robin Lopez

Diaw

Matt Barnes

barbosa

Arroyo

all the positions would be accounted for, the way i see it. plus with the suns steadily trying to improve on defense, this perhaps could be their year.

  1. The Suns bench would be unbelievable!! Don't forget they have Gordon Giricek, Brian Skinner, and DJ Strawberry too. Their bench has been part of their problem in the past, and defense too, but they are slowly improving both and I think next season will be great for them.

G-Money: O ya I totally know that was the problem, he wouldn't play anyone which was the huge problem in the Suns system. You can't play run and gun with aging guys and not have back-ups it was ridiculous ya know. I hope Porter will play the bench they are gonna be fantastic, I'm so excited for them.

  2. I don't really fancy his stats (APG could be better) but we are deifnitely in dire need of a backup player at the 1 since we traded away Marcus Banks earlier this year. So I wouldn't oppose Arroyo moving from East to West. It would reinforce an already solid bench.

@Jack Skellington - Come on!! He's one of the most versatile players in the L and is an integral part to PHX. I would hold on to him for a while yet.

@Kallie - The reason the bench has been a problem was because D' Antoni practically refused to use it; he would only use the same 8-9 players all season round, which eventually led to the Suns burning out against the Spurs two years in a row (NOOOO!!!!!!). As much as I dislike the Spurs with all my heart, Gregg Popovitch has a far better player rotation system and isn't scared to use the bench if needed. Who knows? Maybe under Porter, the entire Suns bench may have a chance to shine... GO PHX!!!

  3. they don't have the salary cap space, Arroyo wants like 5 million dollars.

  4. ya that would be great they would have an explosive bench

  5. yes the suns would have alot of explosive bench player
