Can the wii's internet develop a virus?

i dont really understand the wii, as a internet browser, and i am just wondering...If it can, how?

Well, on the Wii you aren't able to download anything onto the system, and since a virus can't be activated over the net (it has to be downloaded then run on your computer/wii) it is quite unlikely you can get a virus through the Opera Browser.
