I think they have a chance at Sheets, but for sure not Sabathia. CC wanted to come to a NL team so he could hit. He will stay with a NL team after the season is over. If I were Yankee fans I wouldn't be getting my hopes up on Sabathia.

Forget them, get Glen Perkins, the Twins pitcher from last night. He's 25, durable, doesn't walk guys, and considering how cheap the Twins' 100-year-old owner is, would probably take Melky Cabrera and a couple of minor-leaguers for him.

if the brewers dont resign  either of those guys and they go to free agency then the yankees do have a shot at getting them, like every team does

however, i think the yankees biggest offseason pitching acquistion will be......Francisco Rodriguez. yes thats right the K-Rod..Mariano doesnt have much time left in this league, and K-Rod already said he wont sign with the Angels unless he gets at least 15 Mill for 5 years, and the Angels already said they wont pay that

Hank Stienbrenner said that he would be doing everything possible to acquire players to win the World Series next year... even if it takes acquitring a "veteran pitcher". To me this blatantly means C.C.

However don't be surprised if K-Rod ends up a yank as well.... He has this whole "im the best closer alive" attitude... that and the fact he wants a large amount of money that the angels won't pay. He would fit right in.

Absolutely! Have we not learned that the Yankees can pretty much get their hands on anyone. I say that they snatch up Ben Sheets. He has been in Milwaukee for quite a while, and he wouldn't look half bad in pin stripes. He will get a huge deal and join the Yanks in the big apple!
