Can there be interference in a phone while using the Internet?

I have a 2wire wireless AT&T modem and my mom says that she can't hear the phone sometimes, because I'm connected to the internet. Can that happen?

yes. When using DSL it is expected. That is why when you get dsl service and they send you a modem they always include a phone filter that you install into the jack then you plug the phone line into it.

mines never interferes with the phone ..but it probably can
