I know there can be false negatives. A friend of mine is showing alot of pregnancy symptoms and she took 4 tests and only 1 of them said she was pregnant. I've heard there are no false positives, only false negatives.

  1. yes it happend to me same thing i wasnt preg...

  2. yes

there can be a few as the hormones in your body could have the signs of pregnancy

if your unsure get to the doctors asap or a walk in centre

  3. No false positives, she should go to the doctor to get a blood test done.

  4. if you do pregnancy test before your expected period's date it is possible that it will be false positive. It happens when the pregnancy is biochemical (in other words it is very early miscarriage)  - in this case despite positive test result you normally get your period. This is why it is the best to do pregnancy test after your expected period's date to avoid disappointment.

  5. No, your either producing the HcG hormone or your not, it isnt something that is present all the time, only when your pregnant!

  6. Its not very common to get a false positive.  Be sure she read the results in the time frame and so the positive line isnt an evaporation line.  Apart from that, if she had a positive, she needs to go to the doctor.  He can give her a blood test which will determine for sure if she is or not.

  7. Can't have a false positive, she should go to the doc and get a blood test done.

  8. I don't think you can get a false positive as these tests measure a very specific hormone.  She should make a doc appointment.
