  1. why are you asking me that???

  2. Poison dart frog-yes

    Newt-yes

    Salamander-yes

gila monster-no(they are venomous, protected and illegal to own without a permit)

marine iguana-no(they are protected and are illegal to own)

  3. Newts can not because there skin is pousinous. Gila monster sounds way to dangerous. I am not sure about any of the other ones. But I suggest just get regular pets. Like rats, dogs, and cats. All normal animals. Hope this helps!

  4. Depends where you live.

For example I am in the UK and would need a DWA licence to keep a gila monster or similar poisonous creature. Poison arrow frogs are available if you know where to get them from. They do not require any licences but do need specialsed care.

Some newts and salamanders are protected, but others are available to the pet trade.

As for a marine Iguana - they are a protected species which lives on the Galapagos islands. You would not be allowed to remove one and even if you did you would not be able to keep it owing to its incredibly specialised diet.

Do your research before taking on any exotic pet. Get its habitat sorted first before bringing the animal home.

  5. Poison dart frogs, newts, and salamanders can be kept as long as your particular city or state ordinances don't forbid it (poison dart frogs do not retain their poison in captivity).

Gila monsters require a permit to keep in most states (venomous species).

Marine iguanas can not be kept, they are federally protected because they're considered an endangered species.

Their diet is specialized to the native aquatic flora (sea weed) so keeping one alive in captivity would be difficult anyway.

  6. Any animal can be kept as a pet as long as it is properly maintained!!!

  7. yes. i have seen them in homes before. well, im not sure about the gila monster or marine iguana. =)

  8. Anything can be... it just may not be safe.  But for poisonous reptiles like those, you can always get the poison gland removed.

  9. poison dart frogs aren't poisonous to human so yes and the same newt salamander a Gila monster can bite you and you'd be poisoned i wouldn't catch one of those and you would need a fricken big tank for a marine iguana.

  10. Poison dart frog, newt, salamander, yes.

Gila monster- depends if your state allows you to have poisonous animals (Poison dart frogs don't count because the only reason why they are poisonous in the wild is because of the poisonous insects they eat)

Marine iguanas- yes but they have very, very special needs and are very difficult to find.

  11. No to the gila monster or the marine iguana but the other three are a yes. I see the dart frogs, newts and salamanders at my reptile shop all the time.

  12. calm down Ace Ventura!!!

  13. Seriously kid...any animal with the word "poison" in its name should not be a household pet.

  14. I believe so.

The one that I'd like to own, that i know i'd never be able to, is the Komodo Dragon.. now, THAT would be killer! (literaly!)

  15. No marine iguanas and its hard to get a gila monster you will have to aquire a permit for it but asking this type of question im pretty sure you do not need a gila monster.
